Jackie Griffin Recognized with Resolution in House of Representative’s
Dr. Jackie Griffin, CEO of
MedLink Georgia, Inc., was recognized in the Georgia House of Representatives
with a Resolution recognizing his leadership for the State’s
24 Community Health Centers and for his accomplishments as CEO of
MedLink Georgia. The Resolution, read into the official record,
cited his efforts to bring affordable healthcare to Northeast Georgia,
his vision and leadership in developing programs to improve patient
access, as well as his leadership to the State Association for Primary
Health Care whose member agencies provide care from over 75 sites
throughout the state.
From it’s headquarters
in Colbert, MedLink Georgia, the largest CHC in Georgia, operates
10 centers, including MedLink Colbert on Highway 72. Dr. Griffin
lives in Athens with his wife Pamela.

Sherry
Stone Is MedLink's Empoyee of the Year
Sherrie Stone, Office Manager
at MedLink Lavonia, was recognized as the 2005 Employee of the Year
for MedLink Georgia, Inc. at their recent Annual Meeting. This award
is based on nominations from employees of the corporation and cited
Ms. Stone’s contributions to the corporation, including that
she “epitomizes the team player concept; voluntarily cross-trained
herself in basic medical assistant duties to be able to help co-workers
and to have a better understanding of back office routine; and covered
two other sites this year to help out during times of vacant positions
or extended staff absences.” Fellow employees also noted her
involvement in local activities including the Relay for Life, March
of Dimes, and a special Christmas for local children event. One
employee summed up her leadership as “Always trying to find
ways to help our patients”
Mrs. Stone has served as Office
Manager for MedLink Lavonia since the center opened in 1998. She
lives in Hartwell with her husband, Benson and daughter, Madison.
As part of this recognition, she is invited to attend the Georgia
Association for Primary Healthcare’s State Conference in the
fall. |
